William Jarvis Shooting Complex in Whitewater
This is me shooting in a local match near Grand Junction. If you skip forward to about the 23 second mark you will see me do a pretty quick reload. It takes about 2 seconds. That only comes from practice. Sadly at the end of the video a steel target malfunctions. I takes 3 hits for it to fall. We were having high winds. So things were not perfect.
Cameo Shooting and Education Complex
This is me shooting in the 2019 Colorado State Championships. This is where I teach my live fire classes. My beginner classes are much more simple than this. But we hold matches with this style of shooting on the first Saturday of every month.
In this video I clean a Smith & Wesson Model 66 Revolver. This is a 357 Magnum.
The videos below are a 2 part series. In the series I disassemble, clean, lube and reassemble a Ruger SR1911.
This is a video about clearing jams. You will notice that my finger is not on the trigger whenever I load, unload or clear a jam on a firearm. Keep your finger off the trigger until your sights are on the target.
I teach these drills to my students during live fire practice. I demonstrate with my gun first. Then I walk them through it step by step with their own gun. These are very important skills to master.
This drill should only be practiced with snap caps until you have become proficient. And then live ammo should only be used at the range.
